The Drama Society has four seasons in its year:

The Autumn Season kicks off the academic year. Five or six plays are performed over November and December and they can be new writing or published work. This includes a Freshers play which has a cast and creative team comprised entirely by first years.

Next, the MIFTAs which stands for the Manchester In-Fringe Theatre Awards. Eight plays take place an venues across the city in February and March. They are all judged by an external panel and the winners of the awards are announced at the annual Drama Ball at the end of term.

After Easter is the New Writing Showcase. Students submit short plays of around 20 minutes which make up an evening full of new work, and it is a great way to celebrate the end of the year.

Finally, in the summer is the Edinburgh Fringe! Every year, Drama Society takes up two shows to the biggest arts festival on the planet.
